Helping Minority-Owned Businesses SOAR
Wright-Patt Credit Union® (WPCU®) is dedicated to strengthening the small businesses throughout our communities. We recognize that many small business owners need both financial help and support to achieve their business goals so they can continue to grow and thrive. Our SOAR Business Loan and Outreach Program are just one way we're working to help level the playing field for local minority-, woman- and veteran-owned businesses in our communities, providing access to affordable business financing and resources specifically designed to meet their unique needs. The SOAR Business Loan will provide the funding to qualifying minority-, woman- and veteran-owned businesses. This special loan will provide easier access to the financing that is needed for both start-up and existing business members. By providing this necessary funding, we hope to help entrepreneurs successfully launch, run and grow their businesses. As their business grows, more jobs and opportunities can be created to help advance revitalization of the community.
When you apply for the SOAR Business Loan, you will have the opportunity to enroll in the SOAR Outreach Program at the same time.
The SOAR Outreach Program was developed to complement the SOAR Business Loan. The outreach provides an array of financial education, mentorship, training, and business tools to help you with your business. We have worked to identify additional funding resources in the community that are available to access. A SOAR Program Ambassador will work with you one on one to choose the specific services and activities that would benefit your business needs. Each business will have its own specialized plan.
Both programs were created to work together but members are invited to apply for either or both of these new programs.
