Building Stronger Communities, Changing Lives

Excellence in Learning Scholarship Logo

In honor of Wright-Patt Credit Union, Inc.’s longstanding former President and Chief Executive Officer Douglas A. Fecher, the WPCU Sunshine Community Fund® is pleased to offer the Douglas A. Fecher Excellence in Learning Scholarship Program. This Program was established to further Mr. Fecher’s and the WPCU Sunshine Community Fund’s commitment to supporting communities served by Wright-Patt Credit Union® (WPCU®), through the promotion of academic opportunity and excellence in higher education for students in need. The WPCU Sunshine Community Fund invites eligible students to apply for this exceptional scholarship opportunity.

Scholarship Availability

The Program awards a $2,500 scholarship to at least two selected recipients each year. Recipients who are eligible and still enrolled in an undergraduate program at Wright State University or the University of Cincinnati may renew their scholarship for an additional $2,500 in funding for the following fall semester, which then becomes a total of $5,000 in total scholarship funding. Proof of eligibility may be required upon request for all renewal scholarship funds. All renewal scholarship funds will be disbursed 12 months after original scholarship funds are awarded. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at [email protected].

The application window for the Douglas A. Fecher Scholarship for the year 2025 is closed and the winners have been selected. Congratulations to our four winners:
