(Beavercreek, Ohio, August 2024) - As part of Wright-Patt Credit Union’s (WPCU®) expansion into Central Ohio, WPCU acquired land in New Albany on Johnstown Road in New Albany, OH 43054.
“The driving force behind this land purchase is the same driving force that permeates all of Wright-Patt Credit Union’s initiatives: people,” said Tim Mislansky, President and CEO of WPCU. “We have chosen New Albany as the site of our next Member Center in Central Ohio because of the impact we believe it will have on the people who live, work and learn in the surrounding communities.”
“This $2.1 million purchase is part of WPCU’s ongoing efforts to bring the long-term financial benefits of membership in a credit union to more Ohioans,” added Mislansky. “Credit unions are structured so that members gain financial benefits – often in the form of dividends - from using the credit unions products and services. Instead of profits being directed to shareholders, inside a credit union, profits benefit our members. We build lasting relationships with our members to understand and help them achieve their financial goals at all stages of life.”
The future 2,800-square-foot New Albany Member Center, slated to open in 2025, will be equipped with drive-thru services, two Personal Teller Machines providing live access to WPCU Member Experience Representatives during business hours and 24-hr ATM access, as well as a team of dedicated employees that strive to provide extraordinary service.
In addition to providing improved service and convenience for current residents of the New Albany area, the new Member Center will also provide convenient access to the tangible financial benefits of credit unions for the thousands of people expected to move to the area with the construction and opening of the Intel silicon chip factories.
The future New Albany Member Center will be Wright-Patt Credit Union’s 10th Member Center in the Columbus area following the completion of the Polaris Member Center, and the third Member Center on the east side of Columbus.
