WPCU Breaks Ground on Whitehall Member Center
Wright-Patt Credit Union® (WPCU®) celebrated the groundbreaking of its newest Member Center in Whitehall, reinforcing the credit union's long-term commitment to serving Central Ohio communities. The June 29 ceremony brought together representatives from the City of Whitehall, Bracket Builders, the Whitehall YMCA and Wright-Patt Credit Union leadership to mark another milestone in WPCU's continued expansion throughout the Columbus region.
“Wright-Patt Credit Union was founded when a group of workers came together and put a quarter in a shoebox every paycheck to help a coworker in need,” shared Kim Riley, Chief Experience Officer, during the ceremony. “With that shoebox, our founders put their commitment to helping one another into action. This groundbreaking is a continuation of that commitment. We're investing in Whitehall because we believe strong communities need accessible financial guidance, meaningful relationships and a financial institution that is committed to putting people first."
Located at 4775 E. Broad Street, the 2,800-square-foot facility is expected to open in mid-2027 and represents the latest investment in Wright-Patt Credit Union's growing Central Ohio presence. Over the past several years, WPCU has expanded its footprint throughout the Columbus region to meet increasing demand for member-focused financial services, financial wellbeing resources and personal guidance. The Whitehall location will further strengthen access to affordable banking services, lending solutions and trusted financial expertise for individuals, families and businesses across East Columbus and surrounding communities.
Anyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Franklin County or any of the 22 other counties WPCU serves in Southwest and Central Ohio is eligible to become a member of the credit union.
