Community Lunch at Goodwill EasterSeals Organized by WPCU
Wright-Patt Credit Union® (WPCU®) organized a community lunch at Goodwill EasterSeals, held on September 10, 2025.
For the third year in a row, WPCU worked with Goodwill EasterSeals to organize a community lunch that offered free meals to those in need, as well as educational resources to help community members address food insecurity. The lunch took place at Goodwill EasterSeals West Campus (735 E Main St., Trotwood, OH 45426) on Wednesday, September 10th.
The community lunch was supported by Goodwill EasterSeals, Food For The Journey, Miami Valley Meals, and NCCJ. These respective organizations provided the location for the lunch, made the meals, provided to-go boxes for community members to take home, provided groceries at a grab-and-go table, and provided educational resources that address food insecurity. WPCU acted as the organizing body of the event, helping bring together organizations that share WPCUs passion for helping people through life.
The annual event is inspired by a meaningful acronym embraced by WPCU’s Partner-employees, P.E.A.C.E. in Action. It stands for Pause, Engage, Acknowledge, Care, and Empathize.
“Helping people in our communities live better lives is really what drives us at WPCU,” said Ivy Glover, Director of Community Impact & Development. “This event is a great example of how we go beyond banking. We’re not just offering financial services. We’re showing up in meaningful ways, connecting with people, and creating opportunities that make a real difference in their everyday lives.”
In addition to the educational resources that were available at the event, 160 meals were served onsite and 150 meals were available to take home. During the lunch, community members were encouraged to make connections, interact with one another, and learn from the educational resources provided to them.
