Wright-Patt Credit Union® is aware that some members are receiving phone calls from scammers who are claiming to be from Wright-Patt Credit Union or one of our trusted third-party vendor partners. The callers are telling the member there is fraudulent activity on their credit card and then asking for their credit card, account, and/or personal information.
If you receive a call like this, DO NOT provide the caller this information.
Please remember:
If Wright-Patt Credit Union suspects possible fraudulent activity on your credit or debit card, you will receive a phone call from an automated assistant or a representative of our card processor notifying you that your card has been used for unusual financial transactions. If contacted by the automated assistant, you will be asked to provide your zip code to confirm your identity and then verify information, such as recent transactions, that the assistant provides – however, you will not be asked to provide credit card, account, and/or personal information (other than your zip code). Representatives will not request additional information to verify your identity. If you are asked to provide any other information, please hang up and call Wright-Patt Credit Union directly at (800) 762-0047.
We encourage you to be vigilant in helping protect your account and personal information. If you have any doubts as to whether a phone call or any other communication is legitimate, please contact Wright-Patt Credit Union directly at (800) 762-0047 before providing any account or personal information.
