Student Financial Learning Program

Welcome to the Sunshine Community Fund® MoneyMagnifier® Student Financial Learning Program! We are here to help Ohio educators meet the financial learning curriculum expectations of the state. It is our goal to provide the best financial learning resources for students, parents, and teachers, based on Ohio's Financial Literacy Standards. Using our tools, worksheets, and videos, educators can help guide students on a path to turn their dreams into something achievable. Ready to take your students on a financial journey?

  • Minis

We know it’s important to introduce financial learning concepts and ideas to students at an early age to pave the way to financial freedom. Our MoneyMagnifier “Minis” Program, for grade levels K through 5, will develop a basic understanding of money and how it is earned, saved, spent, and borrowed. Students in the “Minis” Program can use these tools to build a strong financial foundation and turn their dreams about money into realistic goals.

  • Middles

Building on the ideas of monetary values and financial concepts established in our “Minis” program, our MoneyMagnifier “Middles” Program will take the fundamentals they learned and continue their journey to financial freedom. Students in grade levels 6 through 8 will build on their understanding of money and start identifying how to earn it. They will also navigate how money can be used to save, spend and when it’s appropriate to borrow. Students in the “Middles” category will use their ideas to pursue real-world monetary needs vs wants.

  • Teens

Furthering the idea of monetary values and financial concepts established in our “Minis” and “Middles” programs, our MoneyMagnifier “Teens” Program focuses on their post-high school financial journey. Students in grade levels 9 through 12 will build upon their understanding of money and go more in-depth in recognizing how their future life choices pertain to earning, saving, spending, planning, and borrowing money. Students in the “Teens” category will apply what they’ve learned about money management basics and use this as they move towards their future goals in the real world.
