WPCU Participates in Mass Casualty Exercise

On Sunday, August 25th from 10am to 3:30pm, Wright-Patt Credit Union will be hosting a full-scale Mass Casualty Exercise at our Beavercreek Corporate Office, in conjunction with Soin Medical Center and Greene Memorial Hospital.

The exercise is intended to test and evaluate the ability of first responders, hospitals and trauma programs to respond to an active shooter and a large influx of patients from a traumatic event.

Agencies participating in the mass casualty exercise include Beavercreek Police, Fire and EMS, and the Dayton Metropolitan Medical Response System.

The exercise will begin at Wright-Patt Credit Union's Corporate Office at 3560 Pentagon Blvd., across from Soin Medical Center. As part of the exercise, simulated gun shots, a simulated explosion and other loud noises may be heard near Wright-Patt Credit Union's Corporate Office and near Soin Medical Center. The exercise is expected to conclude around 3:30 p.m.

Exercise participants posing as victims will be taken to Soin Medical Center and Greene Memorial Hospital.
