Making a Difference in Central Ohio: Q4 2021

Wright-Patt Credit Union (WPCU) is dedicated to helping the communities we serve become stronger than before, making them better places to work, live and raise a family. Giving back to local non-profit organizations in Central Ohio aligns with our core philosophy of “people helping people," and we're proud to support many local organizations through the WPCU Sunshine Community Fund®, the credit union's charitable giving arm.

In our two most recent grant cycles through the Sunshine Community Fund, we supported five Columbus-based non-profits, thanks to the tremendous fundraising efforts of our Wright-Patt Credit Union partner-employees. This year alone, we were able to gift $65,000 to the following organizations:

Per Scholas - $10,000
YMCA of Central Ohio - $15,000
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Ohio - $10,000
Bridgeway Academy - $25,000
Pink Ribbon Girls, Inc. - $5,000
Total: $65,000

Giving Tuesday

Several Columbus-area non-profits were also supported this year through the Giving Tuesday platform. In total, we supported twelve non-profits totaling $12,000. Giving is a vital part of our cultural DNA at Wright-Patt Credit Union, and we're thankful to our non-profit partners for stepping up and serving our community.
