Federal Government Shutdown Support

If You’re Impacted by the Federal Government Shutdown, We're Here to Help

Wright-Patt Credit Union® (WPCU®) was founded during challenging times, and our mission remains the same – to be a caring financial partner, supporting our members through every season – the highs and the lows.

As furloughs and the impact of the federal government shutdown continue, we understand many of our members are facing uncertainty. If you’re feeling worried or overwhelmed, we’re here for you – just like family and friends would be.

From personalized, one-on-one support from a Financial Coach to connecting you with trusted community resources, WPCU is your “go-to” resource for guidance and support during this difficult period.

Below are just some of the ways we can help:

If you're affected by the federal government shutdown and facing financial strain, WPCU may be able to help by allowing you to skip an additional consumer loan payment****  – without penalty (total of two for the calendar year).

  • No skip-a-payment or late fee charged
  • Your loan won’t be considered delinquent
  • No derogatory reporting to the credit bureau

To take advantage of this option, you'll need to provide documentation showing that your paycheck has been impacted by the shutdown.

This offer applies only to eligible WPCU consumer loans, including auto, signature, and QCash loans. While student loans, home equity loans, and credit cards aren’t eligible for skip-a-payments, we encourage you to reach out – we’re here to explore other ways we can support you.

****Member must be in good standing. Only one skip-a-payment may be used at a time. If a member chooses to utilize the additional skip-a-pay, at least one payment must be made between the two skip-a-payments.

WPCU has created helpful guides for Dayton, Columbus, and Cincinnati that highlight key community organizations offering support with food, housing, utilities, and more. These partners provide services beyond what WPCU offers and can be a starting point if you are looking for additional help.
