How can you protect yourself from fraud? I've got some tips now that could save you a lot of aggravation later. Tip 1: Keep your account information private. First, never give out your account information online, over the phone, or via text. At Wright-Patt Credit Union we'll never contact you via email, phone, or text asking you to provide your personal account information. Tip 2: Change your login info. Next, remember to change your login information every few months to prevent hackers from accessing your account. When creating a password, the more complex the better. More than 8 characters, upper and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols. Use a combination of letters, numbers, and symbols. Tip 3: Monitor your accounts and credit reports. Finally, be sure to review and monitor your accounts at least two to three times per week. Our online and mobile banking makes it easy. You should also check your credit report to identify any fraudulent activity. You can check your credit report for free at annualcreditreport.com.
