Changes to Check Orders - Effective January 1st

When’s the last time you wrote a check?
For many consumers, they couldn’t tell you without first looking at their check history because it’s been that long. The longtime tradition of writing checks has been replaced with the use of debit cards, automatic Bill Pay, gift cards and pre-paid cards. And like most products - when demand is low, cost goes up. This is what has been happening over the past few years with WPCU’s printed check costs.
A new FREE WPCU specialty check
In the past, your credit union has absorbed the cost for Partner, Advantage and Premier members, but these costs have reached a level where it’s just too high. Since we know you love great rates and low fees, rather than passing the increase on to you, we redesigned our printed check products to not only include a free check for eligible members but to include a great discount for all other checks.

To continue to offer value and additional choice, all other check designs are available for purchase at a special member discounted price of 50% off the catalog price. This cost is still less than what you will find anywhere else.
What happens the next time you reorder checks?
Effective January 1st, members still continue to receive a great checking product from your credit union. For Partner, Advantage and Premier members taking advantage of free checks, they receive our newly designed WPCU specialty check at no cost.
To order your newly designed WPCU specialty check, please be sure to change your check design on the order form to DUPSPB83387. If members want to keep their current designs they don’t have to do anything. They will automatically be given a 50% discount and their account will be debited.
