Beware of Fraudulent Phone Calls Asking for Debit Card Information

Wright-Patt Credit Union has been made aware of an increase in fraudulent phone calls to people in many states across the country attempting to capture personal financial information. The call claims to be your financial institution and may use words such as “we are trying to authenticate your debit card…”
Do NOT Provide Your Numbers
In these phone calls, people are asked to provide information such as debit or credit card account numbers, Debit Card PINs, or their Social Security Number.
What To Do If You Are Contacted
If you happen to be contacted, do not provide any information regarding your account, i.e. account numbers, card numbers, PIN, or expiration dates. If you believe the phone call is legitimate, call your financial institution at a phone number you know to be accurate.
As a reminder, Wright-Patt Credit Union will NEVER call or email you asking for personal or account information. We recommend that you review your account statement carefully each month to detect any suspicious account activity.
